Lisa Sorensen

RYT-200, Yoga for Health and Wellness

With her heart set on broadening the diversity of yoga practitioners by making yoga accessible and by offering tools and education for holistic health and wellness to communities of all people, Lisa studied to become a 200-hr certified yoga instructor and Health and Wellness expert. Lisa also holds certifications in yoga for Health and Wellness from Bhakti Barn Yoga as well as specialized courses in anatomy for yoga, taught by Physical Therapist Libby Hinsley, Yoga for osteoporosis, taught by Loren Fishman, and yoga for mental health with Ashley Turner.

In 2018 Lisa and her two beautiful sisters, Leslie Dunn and Malinda Williams opened OneNest Yoga studio in Rahway, New Jersey. It was the city’s first and only Yoga Studio. Sadly, the studio took great financial loss from the Covid-19 pandemic and had to close the physical space in 2021.

Determined to continue spreading the benefits of yoga for all people, OneNest Yoga shifted to sharing the benefits of yoga through various digital platforms.

Lisa’s classes are easy-going, accessible, and uniquely designed for absolute beginners, stress reduction, and for practitioners who are interested in a slower-paced, breath, and functional style of yoga. From strengthening areas of weakness to softening areas that are too rigid, bringing balance to the mind, body and spirit are essential to Lisa’s teachings and practice. She also believes wholeheartedly in yoga philosophy and that Yoga is a pathway to inner peace, which is the only way to achieve true happiness.
